This new coin is modeled after a five cent coin in circulation from 1913 to 1938 and recognizes the American Indians and the wildlife encountered during the famed Lewis and Clark expedition to explore the west. It is the first complete change for the U.S. nickel in 67 years. Gorgeous two tone gold on silver U.S. buffalo nickel.Each one of these new U.S. coins is first layered in pure bright silver. Then, by hand, the figures of each are highlighted and brought to life with rich, pure 24kt gold. This breathtaking work, done exclusively by J & J Jewelers, turns these coins into stunning and true works of art. Each coin is hermetically sealed against wear in clear, hard acrylic coating and comes in a jewelry box. The coin comes mounted on a patented hinge type clip that will securely hold a single bill or a number of bills - now that last bill won't slip away! The total clip size is 1" x 2".
